Uniting Through Tradition: Celebrating Our House Inductions!

This past week, we had the joy of holding our House Inductions, a highlight of our school year! Scholars were thrilled to participate in a lively ceremony where they spun to discover which house they would belong to for their time at REACH.

But what exactly is the house system? Established in 2017, the house system was created to promote a positive school culture and foster camaraderie among scholars, providing them with a unique sense of belonging within our larger community. Each scholar is assigned to one of six houses: Altruismos, Amistades, Dochas, Sibindi, Rêve, and Ukulu. Each house has its own distinct theme, emblem, and color, creating a vibrant and diverse environment for our scholars.

Not only do our scholars participate in the house system, but all staff members are also inducted into a house when they join REACH, reinforcing our sense of community and collaboration. Each house is led by a dedicated staff member who guides their scholars and fosters a supportive environment.

Throughout the year, various events are sponsored by each house, allowing scholars to engage in friendly competition, teamwork, and school spirit. These activities not only enhance their educational experience but also help build lasting friendships and memories.

We are excited to see how our scholars thrive in their respective houses this year, and we look forward to the camaraderie, spirit, and fun that will unfold as they represent their houses throughout the school year!
