REACH Alumni Volunteer Guidelines
Parent and Student Instructions
The parent submits an application at least a week before the requested date to volunteer and waits for approval confirmation. (Consecutive day volunteer maximum: 1)
- Students must also sign the Code of Conduct and follow the guidelines outlined, including the dress code.
- Student/Parent presents ID upon checking in
- The parent ensures that we have the correct contact information on file
- Register upon arrival in the main office and sign out after volunteer time
- Be under the supervision of a teacher or other staff member
- Keep distractions to a minimum
- Create a positive atmosphere
- Bring a lunch and a water bottle if staying the whole day
Code of Conduct
- Dress appropriately for an educational setting
- Respect each student’s right to privacy
- Discuss concerns directly and exclusively with supervising teacher/staff
- Never discuss any child’s classroom performance
- Do not reprimand or try to discipline students
- Avoid unsupervised, one-on-one student contact
Description of Possible Duties
- Listen to students read
- Read to students
- Help with math or computer activities
- Help with Friday flagpole activities
- Help with special classroom events
- Cutting, sorting, collating, laminating, bulletin boards, and much more..
- Helping in the office with shredding
- Help nutrition team with clean up after lunch
- Help facilities with picking up trash on campus
- Helping other departments with other miscellaneous items

- In order to volunteer, you must complete a Livescan
- Once we receive your Livescan, you will be contacted
