Kailin Scott-Peoples

Kailin Peoples, from Murrieta, CA, holds a Bachelor's degree from California Baptist University and an MBA from La Sierra University. She is the CEO/Executive Director at Neighborhood Housing Services of the Inland Empire (NHSIE), a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, CDFI, and affordable housing developer. With over a decade of experience in social services and community impact, Kailin has made significant strides in enhancing housing stability, promoting homeownership, and reducing the wealth gap for Inland Empire BIPOC families. Her leadership has been instrumental in securing $1 million from the CDFI Fund and an additional $2.5 million from the State of California’s Cal Homes Loan Fund. Under her guidance, NHSIE has successfully completed its first multi-unit development in San Bernardino.
Kailin is deeply passionate about creating systemic changes that positively impact those in need, believing that housing is fundamental to effective social support. Her commitment extends beyond her professional role; as a mother, she values the nurturing environment provided by REACH, where her daughter has flourished. Kailin appreciates the intentionality with which REACH builds young leaders, as her daughter benefits from a supportive and inclusive school community.
In her role at NHSIE, Kailin finds joy in being a blessing to those in need, reflecting her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Kailin is also the proud mom of Karson Day, and her personal and professional experiences have shaped her commitment to empowering communities and fostering positive change.
