Mrs. Pelt believes that education is fun, exciting, and needed! All children deserve to learn in an environment that fits their needs and desires. She believes that all students learn at a different pace and frequency; not all think or learn the same way. She loves the small community on charter campuses like REACH, which allows for amazing school culture, genuine relationships, and flexibility within education. As educators, she believes we have the autonomy to think outside the box.
Mrs. Pelt believes that at REACH, the experience is also exceedingly unique in culture, both academically and socially. Students, staff, and families can experience an educational atmosphere that embodies a wholeness of community, an atmosphere that she has not encountered on any school campus in her 19 years of working in education. REACH is a loving and nurturing environment that students and staff love to come to each day.
Her priorities at REACH are to assist the Executive Director in maintaining the business and operations of the school and provide leadership supporting REACH LSA's vision. Her desire is to help maintain the amazing culture that REACH has established by hiring the right individuals as she strives to serve everyone and lead with a servant's heart. Mrs. Pelt has seven years of experience serving as an Assistant Principal in the charter school sector.
Before her experience as an Assistant Principal, she served in many capacities within an administration team but primarily in school operations and discipline. She has an undergraduate background in sociology and a master of arts degree in human performance and sports administration. She is currently in a doctoral program for educational/organizational leadership at Grand Canyon University.
Additionally, she is a member of the NAACP San Bernardino Chapter, Riverside Chapter, a United Center of Hope Co-Founder, and a Community Member of the Dell and Carmen Robert Foundations. She was born in Eunice, Louisiana, was raised and now lives in the Inland Empire with her husband, Kaneem. She has two adult children, Teryan and Annayah. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends when she is not working. She also enjoys watching and playing sports, gardening, and volunteering in the community and at her church.
