Demi Cooks believes in breaking the mold. “Everyone deserves a fair education,” she says. With her many years in child development and education, she has been able to observe, learn, and discover what areas are missed when it comes to children's learning and is passionate about helping fill the gaps. Her passion includes working with students and watching them grow in all areas throughout the year. Mrs. Cooks believes in equality. No matter anyone's age, size, and ability, having the necessary tools to succeed should be given to everyone. As a professional in the field of special education, she strives to provide the best services and support to the individuals who come through our doors. “I have a passion for serving others, and my goal is to make a difference in the lives of all the individuals that come through REACH,” Demi shares. Mrs. Cooks has received a B.A. in psychology, her teaching credential, and an M.A. in Educational Behavior Analysis at Fresno Pacific University. She has been working with individuals with disabilities for the last 12 years. With her experience, she has also taught special education in the Special Day Class setting as well as in the RSP setting. She is new to REACH and is excited to be a part of the team! Apart from her career, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active. She LOVES food where her favorites change often. In her spare time, she enjoys reading; her go-to right now is Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Myer.
