Riverside born and raised, Rachael Staylor believes that open-minded curiosity is a pillar of excellent customer service and education, and at REACH, you get both. As the Special Programs Director, Rachael gets to share her love of REACH with prospective families and continue that relationship by communicating all things REACH through various mediums with our parent community and other stakeholders.
Ms. Staylor attended the University of California, San Diego, as an Eleanor Roosevelt College member, where she received a degree in Fine Art while taking extra coursework in Sociology and Anthropology. During her time there, she was awarded a Russell Foundation Grant. Rachael has a storied work history, including working at a group home, policy and procedure writing for Esri, independent contracting in art, design, and web content, and being a stay-at-home mom. Her strengths lie in her diverse work history, which has given her a varied skill set, flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset. She loves a challenge.
Before heading up the Special Programs Department, Ms. Staylor got to work in almost every position at REACH, subbing for classified staff and teachers, facilitating the art program, and learning all the ins and outs of the school culture. She has now been at REACH as a full-time employee for seven years. During her time at the school, she has had the privilege to help shape her current position and is excited to see how it continues to evolve. She feels incredibly honored that she gets to be part of furthering the mission of REACH. Rachael lives in Redlands, CA, and enjoys quiet pursuits like reading and communing with nature when not spending time with her husband and two teenage sons.
