Get ready to pack your bags and embark on a literary adventure like no other! From February 26th to March 1st, REACH celebrated Read Across the World!
Read Across the World Week is a celebration of the power of reading to transport us to new worlds, spark our imagination, and broaden our horizons. Inspired by Read Across America and the celebration of Dr. Seuss, this week-long event took us on a global literary tour, exploring diverse cultures, traditions, and landscapes through the magic of storytelling.
Throughout the week, scholars had the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting activities and events designed to promote a love of reading and celebrate the joy of literature. Here's a sneak peek at what's in store. International Storytime - Each grade has chosen a country to highlight for the day and has activities, art or science-related, that the kids do based on picture books that are connected to that country.
We had a variety of dress-up days throughout the week as we geared up for the actual day of celebration on Friday, March 1st. Scholars and staff had an exciting week of literary adventure, learning so much through the art of reading.
