We want YOU for the REACH Leadership STEAM Academy School Site Council (SSC)!

The purpose of the council is to have school staff, parents, and community voices at the table. The School Site Council (SSC) is responsible for reviewing and using information from many sources to make decisions about improving programs at our school. The SSC makes decisions on how to use funding to improve academic achievement for all students. 

As a participant of SSC you will:

• Set and/or review school goals
• Collaborate with other Advisory Groups
• Obtain recommendations from other groups regarding the focus of the school
• Encourage parent, family, and community involvement
• Spearhead other initiatives

Meetings are generally held about 4-6 times per year and last approximately 1 hour. The SSC will determine meeting times during the drafting of their bylaws. For the 2020-21 school year, we have 5 open seats for parents and community members. If you would like to be a part of this council, please complete the following nomination form (online or paper) and submit it by October 23, 2020, at noon. We will share electronic ballots via ClassDojo the following week with the names of all parents that are interested in serving. Physical ballots will be available in the front office. 

The last day to vote for parent/community members is October 30, 2020, at 11:59 pm. Thank you for your interest!
